Seems to me that everything on E-Bay, and even here is being called "farm fresh". Whats up with that? If I sell junk out of my scrap pile, I can claim its "farm fresh". If I sell an old fence row junker on e-bay, I guess thats "farm fresh" too. My rant.

It seems obvious that it means it"s been in current use on the farm. What"s so hard about that!

Then, there's the term "barn fresh" when they're talking about old cars and trucks found in barns. I'd like to find a nice "barn fresh" '32 Ford P.U. with all original paint and no rust holes. LOL

"Farm Fresh"? Hows about it means the same like "Still Steaming"?
The good stuff is around the back side of the pile, well cured.

I think its just a yuppy term that was thought up to make their products seem better. Kinda like "Outdoorsie" or "Woodsie" persons instead of "Outdoorsmen" and "Woodsmen". It takes away the ruff and tuff testoterone and make it "cutesie" so the city slickers can be classified as such without having to actually get dirty. There's my 2 cents worth and I may even get change back.

Well, I'd rather purchase a "farm-fresh" tractor that was reasonably complete and original to restore, rather that one from a "jockey" that is a mess of parts cobbled up from the remains of several tractors, sold at a high price, as "rebuilt" or "restored".

What beef do you have with the term "farm fresh", if it is an honest description of the tractor that's for sale???

I"ve never heard the term used to describe anything other than food. I know if I saw it used to describe a tractor I"d wonder about the seller. Just my thoughts. (which are rare) ;-)
