I know where a completely rebuilt diesel CHEAP for your 706
A guy I know took his 7oh to get the motor rebuilt and a torque put in. The shop took it down & got the motor rebuilt . The tractor set at least 4 years. One day the owner stopped to beg them to at least stick it together enough to get it out of there. The tractor was gone! They had sold it for scrap. It was a Father in law , son in law shop and they had a fight. The owner had paid the SIL for the job. SIL quit working there and FIL said he wasn't touching the tractor. I guess the 706 got caught in the middle.
The owner told me he all got was the motor & sheet metal. He told me he had around 5000 in the motor including fuel pump and injectors
I'd hate to offer 2200 with out wanting to own it

Hey, I just happen to be starting to think about rebuilding my 706 motor! I would be interested whether it"s a 282 or 310. Where is it located? Toss an e-mail to me.
Paul

That would be great, Larry. Like I said, part of me would like to find a shortcut to rebuilding my 282. I was going to start any day now, but I"ll wait a bit. Whereabouts is it?
Thanks, Paul
