I bought a 560 D last summer and it had alot of small problems. I never used it and just fixed a little bit here and there. Yesterday I got it in the garage and was going to split it to fix the torque. I got it split and saw a tooth missing on the constant mesh gear, before I was done I had a bare housing and a bad Constant mesh gear, bull gear and pinion and ring gear and pinion. Now 450 dollars later I can put it back together this weekend, and get back to the torque(Which is new to me)

I just gotta say, "I hear ya brother". IF you just chnge the names of the parts around that post could have come right out of my mouth. Thank goodness you have the talent to fix it. (Talent is the part I struggle with)

Not sure about talent but can't even imagine what it would cost to have it done, and then wonder if they did all they should have done.

$450 isn't a bad price to pay to know that your transmission is good. Most dealerships would charge about $2000 for that job.

I'm trying not to compain about the price because I bought it cheap knowing it was going to need work. My thought was that I could probable go through it and fix what it needed and still have less than what most of them sell for. And atleast I would know what I had.
