The top of my carb from my Cub is warped from being over tightened. Does anyone know any methods to straighten it or at least, get it better than it is? Thanks!!

Remove gasket and place washers on each screw between top and bottom. Use large channel-locks or vise-grips to gently bend things back into position. It might sound risky but it worked with mine.

I've filed those flat in the past. Stuff a rag in the hole so's you don't load er up with filings.

Mabey a good flat wood block and some sandpaper? Start with some fairly coarse paper to get it flat and then finish with some fine paper to surface it. Use a straightedge to check your work as you go.

That might work for the bowl, but not for the warped upper half with its' venturi and float towers. I can straighten one faster than I can type directions. After it's straightened as well as possible, take it to your favorite milling machine. From then on, only allow a 6 year old girl to tighten the screws.
