Is the farmall gray gray? or is it a blueish gray like it apears in a lot of photos in most farmall related books?
Battleship gray they say.
On the Wisconsin history site they have a color card and there is no blueish gray but there is a dark and a light gray.
I want to restore my 34 f-12 to it"s original delivered condition.
Please help

Here's a link to Rod(NH)'s web site. PPG concept is what I'm currently working with for paint. Current project is a Allis G

Beautiful tractor, Jason. I really like the F & H weights. I'd love to find a set for mine. Kevin

Good luck...There are as many answers to that as there are people to post them. Last I heard, there was a guy on McCormickDeering dot com that had 2 gallons of Original gray paint that he was going to have a formula made for and sell it. My '27 Regular had a lot of light blue pigment left in some inconspicuous places, but I'm sure it was just one pigment left that did not fade.
My opinion only,
Kevin

You need to remember that after WW1 IHC and Rumly used surplus military paint so the tractors of that era were battleship grey and Army O,D. Paint was bought in tank car lots from the lowest bidder and I am sure that it varied from batch to batch and vendor to vendor . My preferance ie the darker grey with no green or blueish cast
