Does anybody have a source for a high temp red paint for exhaust manifolds? How about a paint that stands up well on a carb? Need to get my new manifold and rebuilt carb painted up on my H.
Thanks

I used a red header paint from an auto parts store. VHT makes a nice selection of header paints, also in cast iron grey. I did my F-20 carb with the cast iron grey. The reds will not match the IH 2150 red, but it is better than silver.

You can order VHT paints from Summit Racing.

If you go to the cub website and look under links you find a source for high temp powder coating for manifolds, etc.

Any paint should stand up on the carb, as long as you don't have any fuel leaks.

Do you mean to tell me that IH carbs sometimes leak?

why dont you shine up the carb, that way you dont have to worry about a fuel leak at all. have seen it done. looks sharp. did it myself, and its alot easier. even a clear. if it comes off, you can just touch it up. did it on my carb and oil filter base. pg
