How much oil presure is an F-12 supposed to have? I put in a guage I had laying around out of my 560 and it only reads about 15-20psi, but when I rebuilt it it read a lot higher. I think it might have read higher from all the Clevite red sticky assembly lube I used.

Is that pressure cold or hot? pgo12 said 40 to 45 pounds is very good. However I'v seen guys run around 10pounds of pressure. And they were not saying anytihg is wrong. My A and Super C have about 60 pounds of presssure when they start up but after hard work they fall back to 30 to 40 pounds. I do not know a whole lot about the F series but in the parts book that I have they list a gauge that only reads up to 15 pounds? Andrew

that is 15-20psi hot or cold. My C runs about 50 warm and 70 cold. Maybe my used guage on the F-12 is crapping out.
