i was needing to know what ci engine was in the ih 303 combine. and is it the same one that was put into the 506 ih. thanks for any info jc

My Blue Ribbon manual lists two engines for the 303 Combine - C-221 gas or lp & C-220 gas or lp. The 403 Combine is listed with three engines - C-263 gas or lp, D-282 & D-301. A 460 tractor should have a C-221 gas or D-236 diesel.The 560 had a C-263 gas or D-282. According to this you probably have the same engine as a 460.

Do you mean the 504? The 153cid used in the 303
was used in the 504 too. Hal

woops no what i ment to type is the 560 i didn't notice it until now. what ive got is a motor out of a 303 combine that i was going to put into a 560 chassis if they were close to the same motor.
i was told once berfor that they used the same motor in the 303 and the 806 gas. but icouldve been told wrong. thanks again jc

The 303 used a lot of different engines. Here's
a list: C-221, C-263, C-282,B-220, C-153. I think the 282 may be a diesel. Hal
