I'm currently restoring a 1951 model Farmall M High Drum picker tractor. I did another one a while back but would like to get some history on these pickers. Thanks for any info or pics. If I loaded it right, there should be a pic of a high drum picker below. (or above)

Is your picker a single blower M-12-H, or the double blower M-120,these were both high drum models, both types were available in 1951. I have quite a bit if information for these models - i collect them myself and literature as well, your photo is actually a M-11-H model,
this is the model that evolved into the M-12-H
after some basket modifications in 1946 let me know exactly what history you are looking for and i"am sure i can help you with something
for your project, or you can call if you want

Give me a call sometime, I can help you some, but I can put you on to my father who grew up with them and then worked for Harvester Company for 20 years.

Where are you located?
My father and I have alot of Farmall's with the cotton picker attachment(low drum & high drum),M's, SM's,400,450, and 560.
They are starting to get scarce.

I live about an hour north of Memphis. My wifes uncle retired from "Harvester" back just before they closed the memphis plant. Are there any manuals on the high drums available? Wish I could get my hands on a few. Thanks

You could go over to Willie German Equipment Co. in Brownsville, they are the IH dealer there.

Herb Willcut with Mississippi State is rebuilding some cotton pickers back to original, if I can find his phone number I will send it. You may be able to look find him on the website at Mississippi State.

He and I have talked alot about cotton picker tractors and he has a bunch of info on them.
