There are a few ways to do it. The main thing to understand is that the image you want to ad to a post needs to be on a server thats on the internet. On your computer does not count. You 1st need to upload the image to a server so that it can ( serve ) it to the web pages to be viewed.

In order to do that you need find a server to store your image.
You can upload it to this site and copy the URL to yopur post to be viewed.
Here is another way.
Go here:
Link
This is a free server that allows you to upload images that can then be viewed on the internet.
After you set up a account and read a few tutorials. You should then be able to upload a image to this server.
After you have done that you will see this.
third party image
Notice that I have drawn a arrow to the URL line. This is the URL address that web pages need to know to show your Image. You need to copy this.
You can write it down or a better way is to use you mouse and left click and hold the botton down wile dragging the curser along the letters you want to copy. This high lights them. Once highlighted. You then right click your mouse and choose ( Copy) from the options that are shown. this stores the things you have just copied to a unseen place called the clip boad.
Next go to your post that you want to add the image to.
third party image
Notice I have drawn a arrow to the box you need to copy the URL address to.
Put you mouse curser into the open field part of the box and do a quick left click to get the typing line into it. Then right click and choose (Paste) This takes the URL address you had copied to the clip boad and auto types it in to this box.

WALA!!! you have just added a photo to your post.
Practice this a few times until you can do it with ease. Now you can start to take advantage of the whole new world that has just opened up to you on this world wide information highway.
Then you can learn how to add more than one image or link them to other pages ect ect ect.

Hey, Kelly C, thanks for the tutorial on picture posting, I had never did it and quite frankly, did not know if I would be able to get it done, but I did myself proud, I actually posted a picture of my tractor on here.
Again, thanks for taking to time to post all the info on how to go about doing it.
Jim

HA ha ha my young Padawan Learner.
Look at your keyboard. At the top, see Print Screen?
This copies a image of of whats on your screen at that time. Saves it to the clip board.
Open up the program that is included in every version of windows that I have every seen. PAINT

CLick on edit- Chose paste. Whala there is the screen shot.
Paint is worthless for trying to do anything with, but I choose save as. This lets you name your image and you can change it from a bit map image to a JPEG image.
Once I have named it, changed it to a JPEG, Put it some where I can find it. I open it again with Image editing soft ware. Then you can draw on it ect.
Try it. its fun.

Not quite, but you are getting there. It looks like you got the photobucket thing figured out. Then it seems you uploaded that address to the YT server as a image.
That wont work. Just add the address in the Optinal Image URL box on the same page your post is.

Also as a seperate fact. When you are looking at your album at photobucket. The next line under the URL box that says "tag"
If you copy that line. You can just paste it into the body of your post with having to but it into any boxes 1st. Thats how you add more than one image to a post and you can add a image and then type text so it comes under the image.

Oh boy I should have proof read that before posting.
This line "You can just paste it into the body of your post with having to but it into any boxes 1st. "
Should read "You can just paste it into the body of your post with out having to put it into any boxes 1st."
Sorry. I know its hard enough with out me typing in a unknown language. :-)

This is what is meant by Highlight a line.

third party image
Then you right click and choose copy.

third party image
Then #1 find this box at the bottom of your post. Then #2 get curser to blink in the shown box
#3 right click and choose paste.

third party image
Then the URL address for the image that you want to include in your post should display here. When you click preview your reply. Your Image should be included.
Hope this helps. After a few times it gets to be secound nature.
