The 300 uses a shallow lite that has the wire post in the center that comes thru a hole in the back of the metal housing. I am having trouble finding one at a decent price. Does anyone know a supplier for these. Mines a 6 volt. Thanks guys.

I think Gary is talking about the sealed beam lights. I have them on my Super H. They have two plugs in the back?. The older tear drop lights have one wire. I would also be intrested in were to get replacment blubs. Andrew

The original light has a single contact for one wire .These lights are about 24.00 each. You can get the two contact lights at an auto parts store for about 6.00 each.Cut a circular piece of rubber from an old inner tube, place this rubber in the rear of the light housing to insulate the wire contacts from the housing.connect a short wire to one contact and use it for a ground, the other contact will be connected to the light hot wire.Use an inline fuse for protection This has worked for me for several years with no problems.

Brian you are correct mine have the single wire connection.
I have found them but they cost $39.
I'm going to try and fit the two wire seal beams with an insulater of some sort.

Making the insulation is a snap. First try them in the housing before going to all the work. The ones I got didn't fit properly. They may have even been a different diameter as well. That is why I modified my original sealed beams.

I tried this on my 300. I got replacement bulbs from TSC and when trying to fit them in the housings, they do not tighten up correctly along with having the wrong style two screw connectors. I tore me sealed beam bulbs apart and found a bulb within that that I replaced and kept the same sealed beam housing. It took some work, but the result was great and a cheap fix. The replacement sealed beam was about $7 and the individual bulbs were $1.25.
