I found some sales literature for the 450 and it had something in it about how the valves could be switched from one-way to 2-way "with the flip of the wrist". I was wondering if the remote valves on the 400 could be switched as well. Ours has 1 2-way valve and 2 1-way valves. I'd like to put a quick-hitch on it this summer and would like to have 2-way operation on the hitch. Also are the valves difficult to rebuild? the 2-way leaks through enough that it won't hold up our 10 foot brushhog. Please email me with any info as I don't know how long it will be till I can get back here and see any replies. thanks.

thanks. I didn't want to pull the hood and turn the wrong thing, I know some of those parts can be expensive. See what i find when i get home.

It's the same for the 400 and 450 as far as the procedure, except the 450 has holes in the hood, and the controls are extended for easy access. On a 400, you have to remove part of the hood to make the switch.

It's easy. On top of each of the valves is the control for 1 or 2-way. You use a wrench to turn the control 90 degrees to switch it.

Yes, you can switch them on a 400 also. You have to take the right side hood off(as you sit on the seat). the 450 has a hole in the hood to switch one of them.
