A pic of a setup to pull a fan pulley from a B. An A is done exactly the same way.

To remove the front crank pulley you need to remove the steering pedestal assy as the pulley will not clear the steering sector assy. Check the pulley as some had a set screw. They are a press fit and you need a three jaw puller with a bearing seperator behind the flanges of the pulley unless you want to break the flange on the pulley.

To replace head gasket you need to remove the head. You will have to remove the rocker arm assembly to get to the head bolts. There are just 3 bolts that hold rockers on the head. For the fan, there is a jam nut on the fan & water outlet bracket. Look on the fan spindle for a 5/8" wrench slot - loosen at this pont and jam nut will back off spindle.

Yeah, once the jam nut is removed the fan & pulley assembly should come off the fan bracket.

oh, in that case you need a big 2 jaw puller and a bearing splitter. Look a little further down the page for topic Scott#2 started titled "Tuff crank pulley hard to remove." The pulley will break if you put puller jaws on it. Put bearing splitter behind pulley with jaws of puller bearing on splitter rather than pulley. Some come off hard and others easy. I hope yours is easy!
