Hi Barry,

I bought a "worksaver" 3pt conversion for my SA 4 or 5 years ago and have been very satisfied with it. If you want to see what it looks like, even to get an idea about how to fabricate one yourself, copy and paste this link in your address bar.

Link

It sure does add versatility to the tractor.

Barry, The 3 point on my Super A cost less than one hundred dollars and is as nice as the after market ones. I bought the 4 repair ends at my local IH dealer for $9.95 each. The rest is 1/2" scrap (but nice) plate. I even built the top link from a turn buckle even though I have 2 store bought ones that I don"t like as well. I can"t post pictures but if you or someone else is interested, I can take all the pictures you want tomorrow and e-mail them to you.

Barry: If your tractor is equiped with rear rock shaft for lifting moldboard plow or cultivator you can quite easily fabricate a 3 point hitch. Weld lugs for top link to center of rock shaft. Fabricate mounts to match where drawbar attaches to final drives, complete with pins for lower links to attach. Make those mounts so the link hitch point is in about 4" in from final drive. Go to a scrap yard and buy Ford or Fergie hitch linkages both upper and lower, complete with vertical linkage. You probably should acquire this first so as to get you engineering right.

If you can do your own fabrication, you can save from what old suggested. If you have to hire the welding then I'd go with old's suggestion. I think the hitches he is suggesting also require that you have your own rear rock shaft. Worksaver is the name of the hitch, there may be others.

Yep you can buy an after market 3 point for them but they are pricey. $400-700 depending on who you get one from.
