I didn't get on the YT board until just a few minutes ago, I had to watch the World Junior Hockey Tournament.....Canadians won the gold medal with a 5-0 win over Russia. It was another very exciting game ,especially when all the incredible (explitive)deleteds forcast Canada as the under dogs with little chance of winning. Do you ever get tired of announcers and sports casters, writers drivelling out of their mouths the same garbage, they seem to feed off of each other and when you stop to think about what they just said it is usually stupid, cliches, innuendo and they are never wrong, they fix it with a "yes, but" anyway the kids from the Western hockey league in Canada are some big tough kids it was a hellava game...Mike in Exeter Ontario

There are a few good announcers, very few. About 3/4 of the time I watch with the sound off, and turn it up only if there is a replay of a contested play or something -- then the announcers are usually wrong.

The worst one to listen to on ESPN is Joe Theisman on Sunday evening football. He can sure go on and on about nothing. I don't think the other two guys in the booth much care for him either.

You must have been watching the bowl games on ESPN. A couple of times it seemed like they were watching a different game than I was. Sometimes they were talking about how great a time was and failed to pay attention to the play on the field. My personal feelings is that they are so concerned about "dead" air time that they just babble so fill the void. Congratulations to the Canadians. Randy

The one I hate is on Saturday afternoon when the college games came on my usually oldies Rock n Roll station with a 1 hour pre game "show", the game, then a 1 hour "post game wrap-up" to analize, speculate, disect, and scrutinize every last move that every last person made while on the field. And all this on a RADIO show where you couldn't see it anyway. I know, I know, ifn I don't want to listen to it, turn the channel, listen to my own advice, but they were on "my" rock n roll channel. Oh well, football's over for another year. Kinda like listenen to golf on the radio. Now there's a fast moving crowd pleasin sport for ya, Harley
