early model hydro utility

Looking for a hydro utility with 3pt.
and live pto. like a 656 but smaller.
not sure how many models were made back
in those days.

I've got a 544 hydro. Good tractor but the 656 is more common. Mine is a gas. The diesel would be much better than the C200. Actually they are basically the same tractor with a 4 or 6 cylinder engine. The 656 uses a 263 gas or 282 diesel. Both very common engines. Gas is very hard on fuel.

Tractor Vet you are right the 544 U was first Hydro IH made. I remember a recall on one of the very first and I changed the hydro in it.

I think that they made a 544 in a hydro but i am not into hydros to many problems and way to costly to fix . myself i stick with a gear drive atleast you can fit them with out to much trouble and a clutch is a whole bunch cheeper then a pump or hdy motor .
