I saw a M&W 9 speed (or 2 speed or whatever they are) yesterday in the boneyard. Are they hard to install and are parts still available? All I know about them is what I've read on here & RP. Some folks say they are very handy. If I want it, gotta go today because the tractor is on the scrap list for this week. Thanks, ken

i hope you got it. Of course I think just about everything is worth saving. Those are kind of neat and if that one gets scraped, then there are even fewer around. I wish I had one kind of.....

You will need both upper and lower shafts as well as the counter shaft on the left. But don't spend to much $$ if the gears are shot you could be left with a pile of scrap. Parts are not easy to find, you will have to use alternate sources- industrial bearing/gear venders like Boston gear, or torrington bearings to name a few... good luck.
