I"m also tearing apart a Super M and am just a little ahead of you super_m now that I got the crankshaft out..

I"d say lucky Bob, I took one off my Super M a few days ago and I needed a puller to get that sucker off, but it came off smooth so that was good. Unfortunately when I pulled mine off I didn"t have a 2 1/2" socket so I had to use a monkey wrench and then put a rubber sledgehammer handle down one of the cylinders to stop the crank from tipping the entire thing over...

1 - Unscrew the retaining nut (you'll need a 2-1/2" hex socket...)

2 - Pull it off!

I've removed the pulleys several from Super M's and a 400 recently. All slid off with a good tug by hand - no pullers needed. (Perhaps I've been lucky?!!)
