Does anyone have any close up picture of the spark and throttle rod hookup at the steering support? My support area has two screw points indicating that a scale was attached. Did all models have this?

Thanks

I think the parts manual indicates that it must be a "sector" which was used on QC951 and below. Not sure what model I have as I have no serial no. but must be from this era. Just trying to find out how the rods were connected to the support.

Jim

I think the pre QC951 used a 10-20 like spark / throttle control setup with sector. Subsequent models like mine had two hand levers on a small quadrant (one in front and one in back). Friction pads and a spring hold the setting. Late models, I think, after 1929 or so the controls changed to a F-20 like arrangement.

Searching the archives, you said this was a 1925. Did you find a serial number? Mine was stamped on the left frame rail in front of the radiator. How is the seat spring mounted - on top of the rear axle or to the differential cover?

I cannot get photos to up load today. I will email you two photos of the steering column on my 1927.

Tractors below QC951 had the spark and throttle
levers mounted on the RH side of the rear fuel tank support instead of up at the steering wheel.

OK, so that is what the bracket listed in the parts list was for on those models, to mount on the tank support frame. Mine is supposed to be a 1925 model (Frame number 22009, no serial tag) so it must be between the QC951 and upper QC numbers.

I have never seen anything like that.
