i have a pto that wont shut off. i adjusted this morning and still wont shut off, guess the brake is out. question is how expensive is it to overhaul a pto, or have one off of a 450, will it fit? the one off the 450 looks different but the 4 bolts look like the same spacing, but havent measured yet. thanks

is the shaft coasting? This is not uncommon, can you stop it by hand? Be sure to wear a glove, and grasp slowly.

Their are two types of pto's the band type or the clutch disk type a 450 would be the band type and early 560.I had my band type relined at a good clutch and brake shop under 50 bucks.IH wanted way more than that. The band type won't work in place of the disk type because of the different gearing in the PTO drive on later 560's.Disks can be had at CaseIH.
