You can buy one for the cost and labor involved in making one -- unless you are a very good fabricator.

CNKS, I am a very good fabricator...had to make a larger one for my Cub, for 12v battery. Fabed up one for Allis C.

Learned trick for bending 10 and 12 gage to get a good clean sharp bend when I was custom building trailers. I liked to use 10 gage for fenders, cause it would take more abuse than prefab fenders.

This site is all about sharing. So how about sharing your trick for bending 10 & 12 gauge steel.

Keith,

Yes, it looks great. I fab stuff all the time and like to learn as many tricks as I can to make things turn out better when possible. I once made my own Farmall M battery box lid that was an exact repo of the original. It looked pretty cool. I used muffler pipe for the radius and bent the rest of the box up. Some day I am going to make the hydraulic reservoir under the fuel tank for my "54 Super H. It will look stock and perform as original when I am done. I have little money to invest in these tractors, but lots of time and engineering.

Thanks for the email with the tip as well....
