I would like to put a 3pt hitch on my 1940 M, but before putting up the cash does anyone have any comments on time involved? It would help to see installation manual first to know what I might be getting in to. Thanks

I've had one on my M for 3 years and love it. It is very well made and is better put together than any others I have see.

I put a used one on my H and I don"t think it took too long at all to install. It just bolts up to the axle the same way the existing
U-shaped drawbar bolts up. Depending on how fancy you want to get with the hydraulics. I just ran a single hose with a coupler on to my hyd couplers on the tractor and it was done. If you want down pressure/ two way hydraulics, it takes more plumbing.

I just realized that I could post a pic here of my H with the 3 point- it"s a new thing I learned how to do. I hope you check back!
It works well, but it does make it harder to mount and dismount the tractor.
If you need I could go snap some more pics and e-mail them to you- just let me know.

It's pretty straightforward to get in on and hooked up. My M already had live two-way hydraulic on it so I just added a two spool valve body and plumbed it in for two way hydraulics and that left my hoses under the seat free for implements etc. I also left my U-shaped and straight drawbar on for pulling stuff. Works great. If IHC would have figured this out in 1940 when my M came out, nobody would have ever needed anything else I'm afraid. Works great. Harley
