Here is the puller that I made to pull sleeves. Used solid 1 inch square stock for up-rights and 1 1/2 square tubing for the cross piece and 3/4 all thread bolt. For the biscet I found a piece of shaft that was the right OD for the outside diameter of my sleeves. then had a friend turn it down about 1/4 inch to the inside diameter of sleeves...HTH

Nice sleeve remover. How far apart are the uprights. Hal

Now Hal, you're going to make me do some measuring, and tax my brain this morning. LOL

I think the distance was between 4 1/2 and 5 inches between them. Would measure it but have it loaned out. I built it at the time for engine I was working on. All material I used was what I had on hand except biscuit and all thread. You can use black iron pipe for up-rights, 1 1/2 square tubing was 0.156 wall thickness.

I think 5 inches will be ok. Thanks, Hal
I've been watching all that flooding & mudslides
out your way.

Hal that is 200 miles west of me. What can they expect when they build on the mountain side, remove most of the trees and vegetation, then comes the heavy rains. Ground get overly saturated with water nothing to hold ground in place...Something gotta give. Western Oregon get lot and lots of rain, there are some areas there that are classified as a rain forest.

One of my friends runs a welding bead down the inside of the sleeve then he knocks it out easy you can see if this works

Pound them out, But you have to have the right driver for your sleve. A machine shop can make that for you or any one with a lathe.

You can have your local machine shop make a puck
and use 3/4 allthread to remove them. You may be able to rent a puller. If the block is off the tractor you can take it to your local auto machine shop and have them to press them out and install the new sleeves. If you have a puck made it should be undercut to 3.980" in diameter to just fit inside the sleeve and the overall body of the puck should be 4.200" in diameter. You need to double check these dimensions since an oversize sleeve kit may have been used. Hal
