I had local mechanic work on my 560d he sent the pump and injectors away and had them rebuilt. He charged me $1950.00 for parts only. He says this is what the diesel shop charged him. This seems really high. what do you guys think. Should I refuse payment? Scotty

I had the pump rebuilt on my 460 about 9 or 10 years ago, the head was bad and it was about $650.

I had my 560D pump rebuilt a couple of years ago at McKinny in Denver. It cost me $280. Dropped it off mid morning and picked it up the next day. Made that 560 run like new!

Sounds a bit high. I had injector pump from a D310 rebuilt and calibrated for $400. The labor was $150. and parts came to $250. Rebuilt injectors cost $58. each.

You need to contact Mylex International in MS at 1-800-553-1821. I think you got ripped off too.
They will need the pump model number. $45 each
for injectors and $350 to $ 600 on the pump. Hal

I do not think that is too bad as I had my injectors cleaned, not rebuilt, and it cost me $200 each! 10 years ago we had the injecors and pump rebuilt on Dad's and that bill was around $1500, so with inflation I do not think $1900 is out of line. BUT, I also think that with the repair bills going up so should the price of these tractors!

Take Care

Yea i would say that that was high , the Roosamaster pump even if the head was bad should have not come to more then 800-850- and the injectors rebuilt on the high end would be about 65 each , Somebody is rippen somebody off here even with the new seal rings and what ever i would call some other injection shops even out of the area and get prices then i would go see the Att. Genarl i hate it when someone trys to ripp someone off.

Seems a little high but doesn't surprise me. I guess that's why used pumps sell very well on ebay.
