I am losing hydraulic fluid in my super C. Unit is not leaking nor is there any fluid on the ground. Seems like I have too much oil in the crankcase though! I guess my question is, is there any way for hydraulic fluid to transfer into the oil? Sure seems like this is what is hapening.

Thanks everyone. I just happened to have a gasket kit for the hydraulic unit and replaced the o-ring on the shaft. O-ring was broken and brittle. I have not had time to run it yet, but I think the problem might just be fixed.

George, you hit the nail on the head. This is a common thing with the touch control equiped tractors. There is I think two rubber O rings in the pump just in front of the distributer and it is common for these to leak dumping oil into the crank case. Not a hard fix at all. Sometimes there will be a groove in the shaft that requires a speedy sleeve to fix but someone else will have to help you with that. I have not done that. Oh the O rings can be picked up at a CIH dealer if one is close to you.

Yes the hydralic oil is leaking into the oil pan. You will need to take off the hydralic pump, the fluid is leaking past the pump shaft into the oil pan. Your pump most likely has a seal or a O ring that seals around the shaft that must be bad. If the shaft has a groove worn into it you will need to put a speedy sleeve on the shaft. Hope this helps, Reddog

The speedi-sleeves are available from your auto parts store that sells Chicago-Rawhide seals.
You can call this toll free number for C/R if you have a problem 1-800-882-0008. Hal
PS: Your local Case/IH dealer may have these speedi-sleeves.
