What do you guys set the pressure at on a M with a live pump? I"m putting in the second cam gear now (last one lasted a year) it"s set at 850# now was at 1800 when the first one broke-- any other ideas? been geting used parts maybe last one was cracked ?

Myself i like them at the 1200-1250 and with the correct gear you should have no problems as long as the relief kick out if it sticks well then i guess you'll put another gear in . as the pump is dumb and will make a bunch more before it splits open .

1,800 psi is WAY too high! The Super M/400 live pump is rated for 1,200 psi. But even at this pressure they are prone to busting the cam gear hub under heavy use (I've had to replace three cam gears over the past several years on both my Super M and a buddy's 400).

Now the stock M cam gear is less robust than the Super M/400 gear. I'd say that even at 850 psi you're pushing it's limit!

I don't know the pressure, but the cam gear is heavier on the live pump Super M's, best to get the right gear.
