h pilot bearing

good morning , getting ready for work gota make the waterheaters ya know how that goes anyway was i dreaming or did i hear someone say that i needed to grease the trans input-main shaft pilot bearing because it did not get oil to it? i cant see anyway to get oil to it. ok gentlemen youall have a great tractoring day and as always thanks so much terry t

I believe if its the one that holds the shaft for the trans gears in the front that just as long as your gear oil is up to the small plug on the side of the tranny then you are all right. Not sure if its under the oil or gets slung to it but it gets to it. Now if you were thinking of the pilot bearing in the fly wheel then yes there is a fitting on the fly wheel you pull the dust cover turn her iver till you see it and give her a shot or two. JON

thanks mag man it is the bearing IN the trans as you described i just thought that i read from this site someone say to grease the bearing because it didnt get much or any gear oil anyway thank you for taking the time to answer my question
