Has anyone ever re-cored a farmall A radiator? Our 1940 A has a bad radiator every used one I find is bad or looks like a hunk of junk. I see you can by new for $295.00 but then again just how good are they?
Should I just take and have a shop put a new core on my top and bottom tank? Has anyone ever done this and what kind of a price am I looking at?
Thanks
Chad

I had my Super C radiator recored a few years ago for $250. I asked the rad. shop guy about a cheap new one and he seemed to think they were junk, but that's about what I expected him to say. Jim

I just went through the same problem with a Super C. I check on recoring and it was as expensive as a new one. I got mine from Steel Wheel Ranch. It was the best price I could find. However, I think it had a made in China tag on it.

You can try Northern Factory Sales in MN at 1-800-328-8900. They have new radiators some are made here and some in Mexico. They will guarantee the radiator to fit if you can furnish the OE number from the old unit. Hal
PS: Tell them you have shop. I have used VW
cylinders and pistons made in Brazil. No problem
with any of them.
