Roneee, They should be the same. If you are replacing it, however, it is best you use the tall vented cap, even though it may have been equipped originally with the short cap.

Mornin' Paul,

I was under the impression that all the single tanked IH tractors are the same, aren't they?

Allan

Allan, Within the series, I don"t think there are any differences from one tank to another. An "H" gas tank is the same whether it is gasolene or Distillate or kerosene. An "M" fkuel tank is the same whether it is gasolene or diesel or the others. I know I"m stirring up a can of worms as the "A" and super "A" is different because of the placement of the sediment bowl, but that is another issue separate from the original one being which fuel cap is appropriate. If I"m wrong, I"ll accept the severe lashing with the wet noodle.

The fuel CAPS are the same BUT the MD tank has a small sump in the bottom that the regular M does not have. There is a difference in tanks.
