I got a small tractor to paint. I need to know the right paint to get. I have heard people talk about something from DuPont that stays shiney forever. My neighbor wants to use it on his "Parade Tractor". It's actually a homebuilt with an engine from a mid 40's pull-type combine. He wants to go with Farmall Red.
Thanks

I use IH 2150 and it stays red a long time, maybe not forever, but shoot, who plans to live forever?

we have used only I H's 2150 red with a dash of dupont 77 S hardner with the I H thinner and it has a good shine when done proprly and last well . And 30 bucks a gallion is a bunch better the 380 dollars a gal for the highend automotive paint.

Acrylic urethane from PPG, DuPont, etc is the best paint, and ranges in price from moderately expensive to your entire bank account -- your friend will likely be happy with Case-IH 2150, unless he wants it to last past his lifetime. The correct color is IH 50, it has to be mixed.
