I need to know the O.D. of the bottom of the sleeves in the C113 and C123 engines so I can make a disc to use as a sleeve puller. I haven't torn them down yet, just getting ready and figured someone here would know.

Thanks
Jack

Hi Mike, I have a sketch of a puck. If you want a copy I can email it to you. Hal from MD

All you need is a good piece of hard wood (ash or Oak) and a hammer they should come out easy.

That's what I used. They're not pressed in. On some, the piston came out with the sleeve and then I used a torch to heat sleeve to remove the piston. I was only using the rods on the new pistons. Hal

i put sleeves on my b several years ago, the b has wet sleeves in it with an o ring on the bottom. after you take the head off, hand crank the motor over, my sleeves came right out without a puller. it may be worth a try...
one other thing while you are in there check the bottom plate on your oil pump for wear, i had to go back in to mine after the overhaul due to low oil pressure when the tractor warmed up. good luck!

You really need to know which sleeves are in these
engines. The C-113 engine may now have been rebuilt with an oversize sleeve kit from 3.00" to
3.125". The C-123 engine may be 3.250" instead
of the original 3.125". I can give you a rough idea on the bores and this doesn't cover the 3.250" sleeves.

The overall diameter of the Puck should be 3.280"
and one end should be machined to 2.980" to slide
inside the sleeve .375" and have the other end of the puck machined to 3.105" so it will fit inside the sleeve .375" too. The overall length of the puck should be 7/8 to 1.0 inches with a hole drilled through the center of the puck for 3/4" allthread. This will be used to pull the sleeves from the top of the block. This may fit both engines.

The C-123 engine if it has 3.250" sleeves are probably 3.4375" at the seal end. Would be very easy to measure if you pull a piston. Hal
