I just bought an International 4410 Forklift. Not being too familiar with IH tractors, I wonder if anyone could tell me what other model (Utility? Industrial? Farm?) might be closely related to this machine. It is a 4 cyl. tractor with the forks mounted on the "rear" and all of the controls facing "rearward". It has Power Steering and a "shuttle" transmission. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Brian G. NY

The Hough was the payloader line that was bought by IH. IH sold the construction line along with the industrial line to Dresser who has sold it to Komatsu. The 4410 was part of the industrial line and was built off of a tractor - not sure which but can look up info at work the first of the week if you still need it.

Thanks for the info Jim. One of the guys that frequents this site sent me an e-mail and told me the 4410 was based on a 404U and the 10 refers to the height of the lift. Brian G. NY

You need to look for casting numbers on the engine block. The engine was probably used on other IH equipment. Hal
PS: Dresser bought out the Hough loader division
not sure if the forklift was sold too.

Thanks Hal. I'll check out the serial number. Was Hough directly connected with International? Thanks, Brian G. NY

I think Hough was purchased by IH. Here's an email to a man at Dresser. He seems to be knowledgeable of these Hough loaders. I think it was sold by Dresser to Furnival & then to Midlantic Machinery. Hal
PS; They used a lot of their engines in these loaders and some of the German engines too.
