Scott, When I first saw your post I knew I had seen reference to a company that deals in replacement radiators on EBay. I finally saw one of their listings for new Cub radiator ($125) and was able to obtain their contact info. I checked what they had listed in their EBay store but nothing shown for a SA at this time. The company is Universal Parts Inc. phone is toll free 1-866-730-7169. Their advertising states their radiators are made in this country and totally guaranteed to your satisfaction. Don't know where they are located and their website or email is univparts (at sign) yahoo (dot) com. I have seen them discussed on the forum in the past and I certainly remember good things being posted about their products and service. Hope this might be of help. Hal

Scott: It may be a bit high, but it is also reality. I paid about the same for recore on 140.

This company has a new radiator made in Mexico
for $219.00 The name of the company is Nothern Factory Sales
located in MN. Their toll free number is 1-800-328-8900

They will guarantee it to fit if you have the OM number from the old radiator. They sell radiators to Autoparts Network too. Hal

Tell them you have a repair shop. Hal

You can find good used ones for much less and even new ones cheaper. Do you want a good used one.

I've never had to have one re-cored so I don't know about the price, but one thing for certain, a re-cored radiator is guaranteed to fit when you get it back. I've heard too many horror stories about those aftermarket chinese radiators that won't even fit and have plastic tanks.

Have you had any experience with these radiators? Curious about the quality and the fit.

I have never used any of these radiators. Like most items today they're probably made overseas.
If I was purchasing a radiator I would ask if it's an exact replacement and about the quality.

Forget it and buy a new one -- Carter and Gruenwald, etc. Also, if you do have it recored, make certain that you get one for a thermosiphon system, unless you are adding a water pump along with it. The thermo passages are larger.

Did you only check one place. Sometimes prices vary around the county. You may not have found a place that is comfortable doing the work so they are asking a premium in case they screw up and have to do the job over.

It is too high.

Our local radiator shop wanted $400.00 to recore a Cub radiator and that was several years ago. They've been in business over 50 years. Hal
