I'm just starting to restore a 1948 super A. I will be needing some major parts, especially need a grill and left final drive assembly. I found a B that I can get for a song and I'm wondering of a lot of the parts aren't interchangable. Can anyone tell me?

Thanks for the informative responses. I do need the Final drive housing - mine is cracked - and I'd rather not have to modify the grill. The B is actually in pretty good condition externally but the engine is stuck, manifold and starter are missing. I may go ahead and pick it up anyway. I think I can get if for $200 and it's only about 30 miles from where I live. May be able to get my investment back on ebay.

Grille can be cut to fit around steering sector. Final drive parts will interchange but not the housings as the drawbars mount with different stuff. Depending on which parts you need mite not be too good of a deal unless you could sell the B stuff when you are done.

the grill is diffrent on the bottom, cutout for the steering box on the A THE A/B FINAL DRIVE HOUSINGS ARE ALSO DIFFERNT. THE SUPER A IMPLEMENT MOUNTINGS ARE DIFFRENT TOO. YOU CAN USE THE GEARS THATS ALL .

I think the grill is taller on an SA then is a A/B/BN.

There's some other changes too (engine, and torq tube come to mind).

Sure they will fit. The only difference between an "A" and a "B" is the width of the rear axel and the wide front end viris the narrow front end. The SA will have hydraulics and the "B" won't. This will mean that the "B" engine will not accept a hydraulic pump.

GOOD LUCK

Not sure about the SA but I know a lot of parts from the A and B swap. And my catalog doesn't even show a SA so my guess would be yes they swap. But thats only a guess.
