I'll try and post a picture. I yet to be that talented so far.

I posted a picture from the thanksgiving blizzard a couple of weeks ago here in NE. Buddy of mine said he lost a ton of cattle. Finally started to melt this weekend.

Serious snow.
In 78 in Greenville Ohio we had the same to 15 20 feet. My house was covered except the chimney and tunnel to door from barn side.
The hardwood forests were packed to the tips 120' spring lasted till mid june.

Hello to a fellow Quebecer. I live NW of Montreal within spitting distance of Ontario. On YT I do not know of more than 4 regular Que. posters. There are more identified on Redpower. Like you, we receive less snow it seems than 25-40 years back. Good fishing. QR

North west of Montreal, near St. Jovite or Hawksberry. I have friends that way. I don't know if this is just for tractor chat or about anything . I got good help from a friend john and was just replying back to him. He had nice pics of snow there where he lives. I'm not fishing right now, only in April I will be starting, right threw till August or sometimes sept. What kind of old tractor are you working on, I have two. Mine is a Massey F 35 1962 Deisel and my son just got one 1949 Farmal SuperA gas. We are both working on the Farmal, but I'm not good at this sort of thing. So I'm going by hope and prayer that I get in running and working well . I need a Manual forsure, if I keep working on it, I could order it from the states, which will cost me more, but if i knew of a place close to me that would be better , do you have any ideas's where to find a company close to me ? if not thats ok.. ciao for now..

thanks for replying back, I live in gaspe Quebec Canada, and we now don't get very much snow, even thou we are far north. I guess global warming is to blame..5feet most of the winter here, till April, then rain. By the way I do fish lobsters here, and seeing that you go by fisherman, what kind of fish do you fish where you are?

I typically fish for walleye on the average. Before my life was full of commitments I did travel up to Canada and fish for Lakers in Manatoba and Sask (Reindeer, Cranberries, Grassy River). The last time I traveled far to fish was to Alaska for K.Salmon. I did that for a month and caught some nice fish. I also enjoy fly fishing in the mountain streams as a break, but I do like the big water out of a boat.

Anymore I tend to stay in the US a fish Montana down to Kansas. I grew up on a lake, worked at a marina for many years. I just like the opportunity to go fishing now days. I still eat alot of fish so I tend to make it out when the freezer starts to run low.

I've never caught lobster but I sure like to eat'em. What else do you get to catch up there?

well we catch , fish like Mackreal, Herring, use to catch tuna, lobster, also small fish like caplan, and smelt. Smelt you can fish in Jan, through till April. Caplan in late May. Lobster here in April 28th till june 28th. Tuna comes after lobsters, and runs till Nov. We also have Cod fish, and snow crabs. I will send you a picture some time of some of the fish. Also the beauty of the costal area here. If you like. bye for now Dean Dow.

That storm was about two weeks ago. In some places it dumped 13 inches of snow with sustained winds of 85 mph and gust up to 115 mph. The winds stayed no less than 35 to 40mph for week with 10 to 0 degree temperatures. Snapped the power line poles because the snow was preceeded by heavy rain which created a 50 foot ice stick.

Thats where the worst of it hit. Anyone who had a snowmoble was using it for help or supplies.
