Can the remote hydraulic system be hooked up to function in conjunction the the tractor touch control system, or is it either one or the other?

If you mean do you have to disable one before you use the other, the answer is no.--They can be used at the same time, but I really don't know what happens if you use a rockshaft lever and the remote lever at the same time -- never tried it. The remote setup simply diverts the fluid to the remote cylinder.

CNKS, I bought a remote hydraulic system for my Super A. It was used but complete, I think. I don't know how to hook it up so that I can use a remote cylinder, etc.
Thank you

I think you replace the lines between the resevoir and pump. The attachment to the reservoir contains the valving for both the rockshaft and the remote. Ask again how to install, you will find a parts manual helpful.

There is an optional IH accessory consisting of a control valve, modified hydraulic manifold and breakaway remote complings. I have a control valve for my 53 Super A. But it is not yet installed so I am not sure about the operation of the remote circuit relative to the regular rockshaft i.e. both together or only remote.

There is no "remote hydraulic system" on a Super A. It's all one system, the touch control. Any remote hydraulics would be plumbed out using a bypass block in between the hydraulic lines to the touch control, and the touch control unit itself. Both the remote hydraulics and the touch control would then be usable.

Unless, of course, someone cobbed another complete hydraulic system on to your particular Super A somehow.
