We have a 50 C with a loader & belly grader on it. Wife uses it to grade her horse arena. Ran last February. Hydraulic pump went bad and it sat until last month when I got a new pump. Some how it got water down past the rain hat and locked up #4 piston. Have used PB Blaster & trans fluid. Have been rocking it daily in 4th gear for the last two weeks with no luck on breaking it loose. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks, Chuck

Hi, Neighbor had a bore scope, pulled plugs and looked inside each cylinder. Sure would like to afford one of them, they are real handy to use. Used a siphon gun to pull out all water then put in PB Blaster & trans fluid. I am certain I will have to pull the head as it appears to be real rusty in #4. Can't believe how rusty it got in that short of time. But first will try the suggestions given me. Thanks for your advice, Chuck

As the others have said you need the water out before the tranny fluid. Also you should put tranny fluid in the other cylinders. After you get the water blown out of the cylinders, ya blow them all out then put tranny fluid in each cylinder and also pout a quart or so down the exhaust pipe to lube up the valves.

Pull the head so you can remove any water & then pour transmission fluid over the stuck piston or pistons. Then let them soak for a few days. Then rock it in gear again. If this doesn't work
drop the oil pan and unbolt the connecting rod. Use a piece of 2X2 oak wood and then give it an attitude adjustment with a big hammer.

That sleeve & piston needs to be cleaned of all rust. Sometimes the sleeve will come out with the piston. Then you can heat it to remove the piston. If this happens you may want to replace the seal on the bottom of that sleeve. Hal

How did you find that #4 is the one that is stuck without removing the head. Is the pistom all the way up or down?

Toomannycases, have you made sure that there is no remaining water in #4 cylinder. If there is any water PB Blaster and tran fluid will just float on top. take air hose and with an air noozle with long tube blow out any and all water in #4 cylinder. then put in your stuff to free it up, if after week or so it still not turning over, then remove valve cover, loosen rocker arm assembly(so valves will be closed in all cylinders) fill #4 with oil, clear up to sparkplug. Make an adapter with grease zerk on it, to screw into the spark plug hole. Screw in this adapter, use grease gun to pump grease into cylinder, Grease gun will produce some where between 1500 to 2000 psi, which should push piston downward...HTH
