I sure am glad that release bearing does not need to rely on these springs #17 part #355795R2. They are worthless as far as pulling bearing away from clutch. Even with the clutch pedel unhooked they would not pull bearing to the rear. And everything is cleaned up and oil so there in no binding of the parts. I even went so far as to put in stronger and heavier springs. Has anyone else run into this with these springs.... Could have left them out for no more good than they do!!

I wouldnt worry about them as 350,000 As,Bs and Cs were made without them and apparently werent used till SCs.

thanks Gene, I'm not going to worry about them. Was an extreme waste of my time finding new ones, then to find out they really did not do what they were designed for....Oh well!!

If you got a pair it wouldnt hurt to use them i always hook em up but thought why wouldnt a real heavy pair work better.

Hi gene, Yeppers.....they are in and hooked up, will remain probably longer than I will be around, even if they are just ornamental. I have too much time playing around making the new ones..:>)

Hi Keith, Shawn
This is not about clutch return springs, sorry.
I believe you were looking for a wide front for your SC. Did you ever find one? I have one which is not factory and probably even home made but it looks to be in good shape and sturdy. It is yours if you want it. How to get it to you could be a problem. I could drop it off at Migraines if he ever gets down your way or visa versa

Hi Karl, that would be fine. Would give me an excuse to up that way. One of my favorite nephews lives in Seattle. I don't get up to see him very often. It would be a nice drive further north from Seattle. WFE would be a lot better for Shawn, we are planning on getting a hay wagon, put side racks on it and haul some of the Special Olympic kids in our local parade in Aug....Thanks
