hi everyone. i have a 706 that had a narrow front when i bought it, with 6.50-16 front tires, and 16.9-38 on the back. i put a wide front on, and now i have some trouble with the front tires cutting in, not to mention they look like pizza cutters on the wide front. i think i saw an 806 with 10.00-16 on the front with 18.4 -38 on the back once, would that combo work on a 706? when i get new rear tires im definetly going with 18.4s because they seem to be about the same price and easier to get than 16.9, so what size front tires do i need? thanks nate

We sold most new 706's with 15.5 x 38 rear and 6:50 x 16 or 7:50 x 15 on the front. 18.4 x 38 would be too big for a 706 imho.

Nate may 706's came with 15.5 38 on back or 16.9 34's. The late with big engine wouls have had 16.9 38 rear 18.4 38 will be big for sure.

The 18.4s will be an awful lot of tire for a 706. Most came with 18.4x34s or 16.9x38s.

tator, i was just wondering how wide a rim you had on the 10.00-16 tires, and if you knew what the offset was?
thanks
nate

Go and have a visit with your local ag tire dealer, he should have some good insight on what sizes of flotation tires would work, and should also be able to get the proper size of new wheels the tires will require.
