You're doing fine using the URL box.

If you want to place a link in your text, you have to type the following code and insert the address and the word you want it linked to.

Those "carrots" tell the computer to switch gears and do the deed.

You tractor guys think everything is a vegetable. You mean these ^ ? They are 'carots'. Sometimes we also call them hats. My ^ is off to anyone who learns this stuff.

These, < a rel="nofollow"nd >, are open and closing angle brackets. An old teacher of mine reminded me that angels have curves and angles don't. Also called less than and greater than signs.
