Anybody ever see an automatic impulse on an E-4? Were these used on the later Regular?

The only E-4 like that I have seen was on a 10-20 with the light generator ahead of it.

E4A mag with automatic impulse coupling E4A500, tractors T132829 and up according to my Regular parts book. It's days like these that I sure don't miss feeding those old cows.

I see what you mean Bill. But a neighbor brought me that hood and the magneto and that's all I have. I don't even think they came off the same tractor.

That Mag would sure look great on Ducky.

I'm not sure on the late Regulars Howard. It may have come on one but I've never seen one with the wide drive, only the narrow ones. I looked over a late 32 early 33 Farmall poster I have. It shows a Regular with a straight E-4 manual impulse, an F-30 with one like you have and the Waukesha 12 with the later style mag with that early impulse arraingement. They weren't even advertising the F-20s yet. I suppose they wanted to move those Regulars.

The main difference I can see between the E-4 and F-4 coupling is the E-4 has a coil spring in the coupling, and the F-4 has a clock spring.
