Payloader Engine

I have an old International Payloader (front-end loader) that was abandoned on my property and I am trying to identify the engine so that I can rebuild it. I believe it is a Hercules. It is an L-Head 4 cylinder and the water pump bolts directly on the head. I also have a couple of snapshots if anyone is familiar with this tractor.

Thanks

Hough was sold by IH to Dresser. Send this man an email with the model of the loader. I'm sure he can tell you the engine model. There should be a number on that engine. Hal

PS: Midlantic Machinery work on Hough loaders too
Here's a web site for them. You need to change the last 2 letters for your state you live in.
I live in MD.

Sorry for all the messages but I just figured out how to post an image URL for this tractor. Here it is - I'm trying to identify this engine on what is supposed to be an International Hough Payloader Model HA.

Well if its an IX engine I know a place you can get parts from, they used the IX engines in a lot of the Cletrac crawlers.

You should see if there's a model number on that engine. IH used a lot of Hercules engines. Some model numbers they used: Hal
PS: They used Hercules in some military vehicles too, M151 Jeep, M718 & M825
CV4
G Series
IX
JX4 Series
