I have a 1066 and would like to add a block heater. Where is it installed into the block and where can I find one. Some where besides the IH parts dealer, that is mailorder. Is it the universal 3/4" size that I have seen? What wattage are they?

Try using a dent puller, just screw it into the plug close to one side and it should pop out.

Thanks for the help. I looked up the IH configuration in the parts manual and they show a dual freeze plug set-up. I think for Texas, one should be fine. I can always add another one. Any tips on getting the freeze plug out and which one is best? I'm always afraid that I'll push it into the block and have a new problem to deal with.

Pete
