Has anyone tried to put one of these loaders on before. The JD mounting plates only have holes drilled in the center. Is it safe to hang these plates only off the upper or lower holes on the tractor's frame or should I drill new holes in the mounting plates. If anyone has hung a JD loader on one of these tractors I would appreciate any help and advice. Thanks in advance.

I agree with Rusty. I was just working on a 3020 with a 48 loader today, noticed the parts book listed brackets for 706, 806, 544, and 656. The 806 brackets would work perfect for you. Knowing Deere"s parts avaliblity, you might still be able to get them, however, I needed the piece that goes behind the frame rail on a 3020, and it wasn"t avalible new, but several dealers had it in stock. I don"t think your side brackets would line up with the front bracket if you just tryed to use the top or bottom set of holes in your frame rails.

The easiest way would be to contact a John Deere dealer and see if you can get the correct mounting brackets for your tractor. Then you will know it is right.
