I posted a while back about a leaking remote. KB- 826 told me how to rebuild the remote. I got all the parts for both remotes, and rebuilt them. I rebuilt both even though only one was leaking out the back. I was very careful and cleaned all the parts well. I put the remotes back on the tractor and cycled the loader. No leaks. Today I went out and used the loader, and now the same remote that leaked before leaks again. It didnt leak when I tilted the bucket empty, but with a load it now leaks. The other remote is fine. My dad tried to watch inside the back of the valve as I moved the valve. It appears that when there is a load in the bucket and I actuate the valve a pulse of oil runs out the back of the valve. Any idea? Questions? I have no idea.....

PaMike that little o ring on the little piston that shuts the vlave is a bear if you did not oil it good you may has cut it. When I worked these remots I always replaced the piston and oring, the oring to hard to get on piston. Just a thought.

Aces,
I bought the piston/oring assembly from CNH, so I didnt have to put the oring on. That little piston goes inside of the spool and the hydraulic pressure pushes it around? When I took the remote apart I had to fish the piston out from the very bottom of the long hole in the spool. Is this normal?

Mike, good move buying the entire piston/o-ring assembly. Even so, you may have cut the o-ring. I like to lube things like that with STP for reassembly. Did you replace the two o-rings that go around the outside of the spool? I also believe there's an o-ring between the spool and the detent ball holder that threads into the rear of the spool. I can't remember how far the detent piston is supposed to stick out of the spool.

K.B- I replaced all the o-rings in the valve, including the one on the threads of the detend ball holder. Does the detent piston just kind of float around inside the spool? What exactly does the detent piston seal against? It struck me as odd that you just drop that piston inside the spool, then screw the detent ball holder on. Maybe the piston got stuck inside the spool??
