WHAT IS THE INLET DRAIN BOLT SIZE ON A FARMALL A COOLING SYSTEM? I FLUSHED MY FLUID THE OTHER DAY AND IT SEEMED TO ME THAT THE DRAINAGE BOLT WAS TOO LONG THE MAY BE INTERFERRING WITH THE FLOW OF THE COOLANT. THE TRACTOR IS A 1939 AND I HAVE OWNED IT FOR ABOUT 5 YEARS. I HAVE NEVER CHANGED THE BOLT, BUT SOMEONE BEFORE ME MIGHT HAVE. I WOULD SURELY THANK ANYONE WHO CAN TELL ME WHAT LENGTH THIS BOLT SHOULD BE! THANK YOU!

You must mean lower drain as there isnt any inlet drain. That fitting requires pipe and not a bolt. Maybe you should remove the housing and get the correct pipe. Over the years things have been changed to make fit with whatever was handy.

I use a 1/4" pipe plug on mine.
