400 is safe and sound at my home. Whew what a ordeal. Glad its over, do need to fix a few minor things. They tore apart the dash to hot wire it. Things like that. She started right up. 1st photo is thier guy bringing my 400 to MPLS as I wouldnt go to southern, MN to get it. Really hatted to inconvience them. NOT!
2nd one is my girl back on my property. YEA!!!!!
DRive home sucked as it started to snow and was in the middle of rush hr.
I also added a couple photos of my new 3 bottom plow I got last month for my 400. Its a great little plow cant wait to try it out.

Nice plow. Are parts still readily available for it (shins, moldboards, shares, etc.)?

MN must be lax about vehicle and trailer weights. If that is an F-350, it is definitely overloaded. There are scarcely any cars manufactured that will fit on that rig if it were traveling MA highways. Minimum size for a car hauler here is at least F-450 and most of them are F-550 or bigger. I think that F-550 would be minimum size for that tractor.

The trailer would raise a few eyebrows as well. DOT teams would not hesitate to pull you over in MA.

You are all blaming the Government(law enforcement) for this ? What about the criminal? Than you complain if law enforcement doesn't do anything. Think it through a little better before you rip on someone.

Duanes: I have watched this from beginning of Kelly's first reporting tractor missing. In my opinion he has been more than fair with the folks that impounded his tractor. The patience he has displayed has been close to perfect. The Law enforcement in this case has not been perfect, the tractor should have been delivered back the location from which it was taken, or Kelly's home whichever is the shorter distance. I understand Kelly has a field across road from where tractor was taken. If law enforcement were making an arrest on a citizen and seizing his assets, they should have first made sure what assets belonged to that citizen.

I do know of a similar situation, not only did law enforcement deliver the vehicle back to the owner. It cost them $500. per day for everyday vehicle was in their possession.

Hugh is right. I think Kelly has been very understanding. Some might even say that Kelly was a victim of a theft, and entitled to damages to his tractor, and loss of use. Maybe someone should have done some homework on whose property they were seizing instead of carelessly removing anything in sight, and tearing apart dashes in the process. Don't get me wrong - I am all for sticking it to the criminals - but normal care needs to be taken in the process.

I was not. All the law inforcement people I talked to went out of there way to help me.
As a matter of fact the US Marshal was the one that told the storage place to bring my tractor up to Minneapolis saving me a extra trip.

And yes I do blame the YAHoo that did the drug dealing. He is a Ash Hole.

There is a bit of red tape involved that get a little frustrating. Paintence is the key and remain pleasant to the people who you need to help you.

Kelly, glad to see you got her home! I had a 311 plow just like that for my 450. They work great! Just remember to look in the book on how to set your FH (it needs to be set "free"). I had a heck of a time trying to plow the first time, and then I got the book out. DUH!

Kelly: Glad to see you with the 400 home. When first reported this, I feared you would never get the tractor without it costing you a lot of money. I dare say there has been some cost involved. I'm betting you will be a whole lot more careful where you park you tractors in future.

Interesting, when one makes a mistake it costs him money, when a govt. bureaucrat makes a mistake everyone pays.

Don't you jsut love to hate the cops and all there red tape. But at least this time they did something right. Now I guess its time for you to give it a once over to make sure all is ok. Sure glad to see you got her back, next time maybe you need to hook up a fencer to it when parked so some one gets ZAPPED, other then you of course

That was good news, these people not very smart, why did they think they had to take the dash apart to "hot" wire the thing, not smart enough to find the coil up by the side of the engine?? Looks like Braham is quiet as usual, was so busy this summer I don't think I ever got a chance to drive through there, picked up a 1953 Farmall A off of Ebay a week or so ago, have it down here in my garage in St. Paul, you should see the heads turn when I run her out of the garage to plow snow.. Good luck.
Kevin

Kelly, glad to see you finally got your tractor back, hopefully that didn't tear anything up other than the dash. That plow looks like a better match for the 400 than your two bottom. If you don't mind me asking what's up with the yellow Rim on the left side? None of your other pictures show it before. Did the rim rust out since you last updated your site?

Yea blew the tire and the old rim was rusted out good at the valve hole.
Had the tire guy out with a old tire and a new tube and the used rim for $200.
Wish I had the bead breaking tools they got.

My tire guy of 30 years uses his bead breaker only as a last resort. He prefers using his duckbilled maul to break bead with tire on tractor. He is quick.

My tire guy told me to lay the tire on the ground and drive over the rubber with another tractor to break the bead!!

Some really rusted on beads require desperate measures
