I have a schematic of wiring for a farmall M. I have been told the wiring is the same for an M, SM, SMTA.. etc.. However, this one is already converted to 12V, and there is another little round device on top of the starter(brain is remembering the correct term)which drawing doesn"t show, and they were shorting the 2 terminals on this device with a screwdriver to start it. The wiring is all "homemade" currently except for the main harness. Does someone have a drawing for the wiring for this exact situation? I would think someone out there has the same thing. Want to get this one-of-a-kind ole girl going for my dad before spring. Thanks much!!

The little round thing is called a solenoid, my 1940 M has the same thing. Little John is steering you in the right direction, Bob M has bailed me out once or twice.
