This has been a problem since I had this tractor. After changing out head gaskets a couple of times and finally rebuilding it, the problem continues. Came to the conclusion that it had to be condensation. I hate seeing that squirt of water come out first when I change oil. Question is: Is there something available that I can install on the bottom of the oil pan that I can drain out the water periodically? The water is always clear. Thanks much

Unless you only change your oil about once every decade, there's something more sinister than condensation causing that much water to end up in the oil.

I don't know if you can assume that the water isn't coolant, because I'm not sure if the other components of antifreeze don't mix with oil.

What are the conditions under which you operate the tractor? What are the conditions under which you store the tractor? Is the muffler covered if the tractor is stored outside? Do you run the tractor through water?

I use it to haul dirt at times, get firewood, and plow snow mostly. It is stored in the garage, don't run it through water and it gives out a good several teaspoons when the oil plug is pulled out. I change oil every spring, probably no more than 10-15 hours at most. I use Mobil 1 synthetic. The block and head were checked for cracks when it was rebuilt. I'm a tad more concerned now.

It depends on how much water is there. If theres alot say more than a 2 or 3 teaspons full when the oil is draned then it might be something else. I have problems with condensation this time a year througth abotu april. The only thing that I do is to let them run awhile. For example when I go get the firewood I use our A and even though it only takes 30mins tops I'll let it run for another 20 to 30 mins at half throttle to first let the batter charge and warm up the engine. The biggest mistake that I see guys doing is running them in the winter for 15mins and then shut them down this can cause larger amounts of condesation to occur. This can lead to the rotting of the manifold to, etc... Andrew
