I am considering purchasing a Super A, but I would need to know what size trailer to get. Could anyone tell me the weight of a Super A?

Thanks

Denny: A bare bones Super will weigh about 2350 to 2500 lbs. I agree with Andrew on the additions and maximum weight.

When selecting a trailer go for 16' deck, size and weight of tractor will not be big factor. Position of tractor on trailer deck makes a big difference. It can make 25 miles seem like a drive with empty pickup, or it can make seem like hell in eternity. After a few short trips you will find the best position.

I don't know what a Super A weights but will fit nicely in the body of a 3/4 ton pickup.. I've hauled my super A several times this way. Run in forwards and chain in .

Robert: Been there and done that, hard on pickup box to begin with and one must have the ideal spot for loading and unloading.

Denny, I did a quick search through the archives and found a topic that will probably answer some of your questions about hauling a Super A. Copy the link below and paste it into your web browser.

The weight depends on whats on it. If it has nothing on it around 2800lbs or so. However if its loaded up. Then it could be over 3200lbs. My A weights that. it has front weights aprox.84lbs, rear weights 300lbs, and loaded tires another 300lbs or so. A good tandium axel trailer will do something weigthed for 2 ton to be on the safe side.
